I love this short film by this guy who went to an Amsterdam life. The film, by the way, is very short, but I think it’s interesting, very funny, and I’m sure you will enjoy it as well.
Amsterdam is a fun city to visit because of the people you meet. You can meet people who have different lifestyles and hobbies. Like the guy in this movie who grew up in Amsterdam and is now a construction worker. Or the guy who grew up in the US and is now a successful businessman in Amsterdam. Or the guy with the weird obsession with art and is now a self-taught painter. Or the girl who grew up in the US and is now a fashion designer.
Amsterdam is a city full of different lifestyles and hobbies. That said, it doesn’t come up very often on the blog. One of the reasons is because it’s a little bit out of the way, and you don’t have to go out of your way to meet people in this city. The other reason is because of the language barrier. But I like the fact that you can just tell a story by talking to anyone in Amsterdam.
It has been long since I visited Amsterdam but I had the chance to try out a new service there. I have to admit that I was a bit hesitant at first because I didnt know what I was getting myself into with this service called amsterdam life. After a brief test run, I was hooked. I made my way to the city center for a couple of hours and ended up running into a few old friends.
As a foreigner I was unfamiliar with the city and the concept of the amsterdam life service, so this was my first time at it. It was a very interesting experience. You could talk to anyone, and I learned that some of them were very surprised that I still had my accent. It was very interesting to hear what they thought about my accent and how it made them feel.
I’m not sure if this is a common misconception, but I had a very negative reaction to the service. The staff seemed to think that I wasn’t a resident of the city. When I stated that I was, they told me that I was just a tourist, and that the city had no interest in me. I think they were making a bigger deal out of it than it actually was.
Some of the staff at the Amsterdam Life office were very enthusiastic about our “exotic” accent. I’m sure they were not aware that in fact, we’ve lived here for 8 years and haven’t changed a word.
There are a few other people who are just fine with us. This is the reason why they have stopped showing their accents.
The staff are, in fact, a bit of a tourist. They are only here for a few weeks at a time, so I think they are used to tourists. But they were extremely enthusiastic about our accent. You could tell they were used to being the center of attention.
We’re not sure if they meant we were like tourists, but to be honest, we’re not. We are here for 8 years, so I think they were just being nice.
