Some people are more used to the idea of international schools, others are more used to the idea of small schools or private schools. Whatever the case, the concept of international schools can be a daunting prospect for some individuals. The biggest difference I can perceive is that the international schools I know of are actually very small; some are like a single room with a few desks in it and a few students.
On our site there are many different international schools and I’d suggest that you research your options before you apply to any. To help with that, I’ve put together a list of international schools that are likely to be different from what you’re used to. Remember, just because you’re used to a school doesn’t mean it will actually be like that.
All the schools I know of are pretty much the same, but they do have some different types of international classes that are not really the same. A lot of them have a little bit more emphasis on English, French and English as a subject, which is not that rare.
I just found another school that has a ‘French as a subject’ section. That’s not the most helpful, but it’s also not unheard of.
