It’s been nearly a year since I last traveled to Germany, and I can only imagine what it costs to go there now. I’ve been to Berlin twice and I just recently made my way to Munich for the first time in over a decade. Every time I visit I’ll be tempted to stop in a bookstore and buy a book, but I find that I end up just buying what I really need.
On that note, I just found out that you can go to Germany for as little as $0.10 from the US embassy. That’s a pretty big deal, particularly since my wife and I spent a good deal of our money in the US. I’ll be in Munich in July to see my daughter, and we’ll be there for the entire weekend.
I have a lot of friends who don’t speak German, and a lot of people who don’t speak English. To me, this just makes it feel like we’re all in the same boat. But you know what I mean.
Well, I know that if I wanted to go to Germany, I would have to buy a ticket. But that doesn’t mean it is going to cost me too much to go.
