Our family has lived in Spain for over twenty years now, and I have to say, they are one of the most wonderful countries of the world. The people are so kind, the food is so good, and the weather is so beautiful. It’s hard not to love Spain.
And yet, as a Spanish person I’ve come to realize that the Spanish can be one of the most stubborn, superstitious, and unkind people on earth. My friend, the Spanish guy with the tattoo, told me once that he once saw a woman throw her cigarette out the window of a car because it was “spa” (spa=spain).
This can be a problem if you dont speak Spanish well. People can be allergic to the smoke, or just plain scared of it.
For Spanish speakers, the problem is that they tend to take everything in their stride. Spanish is a language with a very specific grammar and the Spanish culture tends to be very punctilious. In some countries, people will say “sí” or “si” as if it is a word of greeting, but only in situations where they are being addressed in a formal manner.
To be fair, the problem is that even Spanish speakers will probably get confused when the person they’re talking to speaks with a thick accent.
The biggest problem is that the people who write about Spanish in English are extremely misinformed about the language, it’s very hard to say the right thing when you can’t even imagine the person speaking it. When you see a person speaking English in Spanish, you think they are speaking Spanish while they’re not. And the Spanish people are very much a victim of this because they don’t know how to speak the language. This is why Spanish is so popular in most countries.
The problem with that is that the Spanish people tend to believe the “real” Spanish people are the ones who do the speaking. They are constantly getting the wrong impression. Spanish is a very hard language to learn, even for a native speaker, so the Spanish people may believe that a person who speaks Spanish perfectly is the real person. This is what happened with the Spanish government when they tried to pass a law that would make it illegal to be married in the state of Sinaloa.
The Spanish people have been known to take this to the extreme. In the case of Sinaloa, they decided that the real Sinaloa was the state of Durango, which led to the law being passed. When the Spanish government tried to change the name of the state of Durango to Sinaloa, they were told that the name was already registered.
If you’re married in the state of Sinaloa, then you are legally married in the state of Durango, which means you can’t be married in the state of Sinaloa. Therefore, the problem here is that it’s illegal to be married in the state of Sinaloa, despite the fact that it has no effect on you because you’re married in the state of Durango.
Spain would also be a little uncomfortable with that because the government has to prove who is married to whom. We could argue that marriage in the state of Durango is illegal because it’s a state that is a part of Mexico, so therefore Mexico is a part of the state of Sinaloa. That would make the state of Sinaloa a state that is part of Mexico, and therefore Mexico is a part of the state of Durango.
