Just a quick and random shout-out to all my French-speaking friends who love to eat, and all of you who would love to eat in France.
Okay, I’m getting the French thing off the top of my head here for some reason. I don’t speak French, but I think it’s pretty funny that you’d think it would be silly to ask someone to dinner in a language they don’t know.
There is a fairly long list of French restaurants in the States, and there are a lot of them (about 3,000 in all). So before you go, check out the list of restaurants and check out any restaurant that you think is a reasonable bet. A good place to start is, “Oui, je peux entendre les patrons d’ici.” French people don’t speak English, but if you look at the menu, you’ll know what the other person is saying.
I think the first thing to say is that you have to consider the culture of the restaurant. Is it like the food in America? Is it like the food in France. The other thing that should be noted is that the price per person is different in each one. For example, when I went to a French restaurant with my husband, we both ordered a set of four. We got a steak for $45, and a sandwich for $11.
When I ask what’s more important, price, or culture, I get told that the french are very fussy about their food, and they like everything to be cooked to the same high standard. Not unlike the Americans, you dont have to worry too much about the quality of their food. I have never seen an American restaurant that was anywhere near as good.
In this trailer, we’re talking about a small party that we have with friends in France. I think it’s important that we all have something to do with the French people, and that we share some interests. I know you’re going to say “oh, I do like cheese, but I’m a little bit of a cheese freak.” But it’s okay to have your friends in France.
I like cheese too. I dont like cheese, but I am ok with having my friends in France. People in France are pretty cool, and I think a lot of us can talk to them and get a sense of the country, so its good to have a good time.
When I moved to France I was going to start a French website but I felt like it was gonna be really boring and a lot of work. I could see the benefits of just living in France, so I went and found a job and made a few friends. Since moving to France I can tell you that the French are super friendly, especially the women, and I feel like that’s because they like talking to me.
The French are a very friendly people, but they are also a very competitive people. Its funny how in France when you go out with a French girl you can be as rude as you like and she still won’t bat an eye. A lot of French people just love to talk about things in general, so they are happy to chat about anything.
Being a man I was always looking forward to this kind of trip and I thought that it’s a great way to learn French and see the French language. I’m sure the French will be a lot more friendly to you if you’re not doing such a great job. However, I’m still just hanging out with the French for a few weeks.
