It turns out that phone numbers in the UK are a lot easier to get than they used to be, but to be fair, that was back in the days of dial up. Back then numbers were like phone numbers in the U.S., which were mostly reserved for the wealthy and connected.
In the old days, phone numbers were one of the best ways for people to talk to one another. You would get a phone number that was like a phone number for the telephone company, only smaller and the numbers were always the same. They were also the best way to keep in touch with people you didn’t know well. But now we have cell phones, and we have texting, so phone numbers are not so much a necessity anymore.
