My wife is a former Spanish teacher.
Spanish is not a language that we are especially fond of, but she asked me to put up a little video on my blog of a few phrases I still occasionally use in conversation with Spaniards. She said some words in Spanish I had forgotten and I couldn’t quite place them.
I think I have a bit of a problem getting her to go away, so I’m going to stop. I’ll just leave you with what they call a shortlist of “no friends or jobs” and you can just tell the reader that you have no friends or jobs.
The video I created for her is a little self-indulgent because she clearly had a lot of friends who she got along with very well when she was in college. But if you want to know about Spanish in general, you can check out my other blog post on the language.
Although Spanish is not a language that is often taught in college, it’s definitely included in many of the courses. So if you don’t have a lot of friends or jobs, you might want to pick up a Spanish book or two.
I am sorry to say, but we do not speak spanish in our house. We have a Spanish translator who does the majority of the conversations, but we also have a Spanish translator who does the translations. A lot of the time the Spanish translations get a lot of play in our home, but we still think it is kind of weird that she is the only one who speaks spanish in our house.
I’m not sure what your problem is. The idea that a person with no Spanish skills is somehow unintelligent, disrespectful, or incompetent is just ridiculous. Spanish is the easiest language to learn in the world, and you know it. I’m sure there are plenty of people who just want to get a feel for the language and get used to it before they start getting into Spanish classes. The reality is that you can learn Spanish in anywhere from two weeks to a month.
I think there’s a large difference between getting a feel for the language and being an ignorant idiot. Just as with any language, Spanish is more an art than a language. There are hundreds of words and phrases to learn, but most of them take time and practice like any other language. I used to be fluent in Spanish well before I started learning English, and I still feel the same way. Spanish is more of a language, a way of speaking than a language.
If you’re new to Spanish, you should start by learning as much vocabulary and grammar as you can. It will make learning Spanish easier and quicker for you, so it is worth it. When I first started learning Spanish, I had a hard time with some words and grammar, so I focused on vocabulary and grammar and practice. Of course, I still had to study Spanish, but I didn’t feel like I had to study it all the time.
Learning Spanish also helps you understand the language better. So much so, that it is sometimes difficult to communicate with someone who speaks another language. But even if you do understand the language, learning it in the first place is not always enough to communicate. You have to speak it like a native speaker. Fortunately, if you are fluent in English, Spanish is often very easy to understand.
