I was going to include a photo of the villeneuveloubet, but I forgot. I feel like I should put a picture of it as well. I love the way the water is slowly coming out of the hole, but I do like that it isn’t a totally flat surface.
The villeneuveloubet is actually a “villeneuvelou” (the word means “sunken place” in French), a small artificial island in the center of the Atlantic (see more about that at the end of this article). It’s part of a massive complex of underwater caves that sits at the end of the southern coast of France. It is home to hundreds of thousands of people, with many of them working in the area as divers.
We were told by the team that there are at least a thousand people in the complex, and that there are a variety of professions including construction workers, chefs, and a variety of other fields. It’s a really fascinating place to visit, and it’s a bit of an experience to see the massive amount of machinery, construction equipment, and other construction in the area.
Of course, it is a bit overwhelming because the buildings, the colors, and the people are so vast. But that’s what makes it so intriguing and mysterious. There is a sense of wonder. It’s hard to explain, and you have to really pay attention to the construction. But it is a place that you can’t really visit and not understand.
Villeneuveloubet is not as big as it seems to be. I think its one of the largest construction sites in Europe. You get to see the massive amounts of concrete, steel, and other construction all laid out in a single area. But it is also one of the densest. With the exception of the bridge that crosses the canal, the entire area is built over a deep ravine with a lot of construction on the other side and lots of overhanging trees.
Villeneuveloubet is a place of construction, a place that seems to be constantly being built, and an area that most people wouldn’t know exists. It’s also a place that most people would never even think of visiting if they were in a position to. This is why I think it’s a great idea for them to build a community here.
